Madeleine Svedlund (digital painting)
The Black Box 12:00–16:00 & 19:00–23:00.
Madeleine Svedlund’s imagery focuses on details, strong colors and composition, exploring social relationships between people and animals. Her illustrations takes elements from nature to shape environments, create images and communicate to the viewer. An important motif is women's liberation, portraying women in everyday environments.
Madeleine is inspired by the graphic-erotic tradition Shunga from the 18th century during the Edo period in Japan. With a continued exploration of relationships and intimate contacts she wants to create a mutual attraction and a shameless visual platform where sexual pleasure, female sexuality and homosexuality are made visible and encouraged.
